Check what’s holding you back. Is it a lack of time, or can’t you find any real pleasure in exercise? Consider the following:
- Making time for exercise before you leave for work or after your return, is by no means an easy option. Park your car a bit further from the office or get off one stop sooner when travelling by public transport, and walk the extra bit to work. Does this give you more energy?
- At work, take the stairs instead of the elevator for a change. Do you feel the difference? If you do this on a regular basis, you can grant yourself a reward.
- Don’t confuse exercise and intensive sporting. Once a week, make a start with some brisk lunch walking. Do you like the way it feels?
- During your walk, you can already think about different types of exercise you might enjoy. Alone or in team. There are so many sports and forms of exercise. There’s bound to be something for you. And once you’ve really started…
